DTC P1712:00: Notes

NOTE:

This DTC is recorded when the torque reduction control operates to prevent the differential journal from burning or seizure. The DTC does not indicate a malfunction.

DTC P1712:00	Prevents the differential journal from burning or seizure
DETECTION CONDITION	Under the following conditions, difference between rotation speed of left and right driving wheels is 490 rpm or more Vehicle speed is 80 km/h {49 mph} or less DSC OFF switch is on (DSC/TCS not operating) Wheel speed signal is normal Diagnostic support note The check engine light does not illuminate. The automatic transaxle warning light does not illuminate. PENDING CODE is not available. FREEZE FRAME DATA is not available. The DTC is stored in the TCM memory.
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION	Perform torque reduction and control rotation speed difference between the left/right drive wheels
POSSIBLE CAUSE	A difference occurs between the rotation speed of the left and right drive wheels under the following conditions: Extracting vehicle from mud Tires spin on slippery road
