Symptom Troubleshooting - Automatic Transaxle: Foreword
- When the customer reports a vehicle malfunction, inspect the check engine light indication, automatic transaxle warning light flash, and diagnostic trouble code (DTC), then diagnose the malfunction according to following flowchart.
- If a DTC exists, diagnose the applicable DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC TABLE .)
- If a DTC does not exist, the check engine light does not illuminate and the automatic transaxle warning light illuminate, diagnose the applicable symptom troubleshooting. (See SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING ITEM TABLE .)
NOTE:
- If a tire of a different diameter from the standard tire is installed, the TCM determines that the driving mode is the AAS mode, and may change to a different shift timing from the normal timing.
