Front Oil Seal Replacement: Notes

  1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Disconnect the wiring harness.
  5. Remove the ignition coils. (See IGNITION COIL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Remove the spark plugs. (See SPARK PLUG REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  7. Remove the ventilation hose.
  8. Remove the oil level gauge.
  9. Remove the cylinder head cover. (See TIMING CHAIN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  10. Remove the front wheel and tire. (RH) (See GENERAL PROCEDURES (SUSPENSION) .)
  11. Remove the aerodynamic under cover and splash shield as a single unit. (See AERODYNAMIC UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  12. Remove the nut shown in the figure and set the power steering pipe component out of the way.

  13. Remove the drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  14. Disconnect the drive shaft (RH) from joint shaft, set the drive shaft (RH) out of the way. (MTX) (See DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  15. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
  16. Install in the reverse order of removal.
