Rear Seat Back Frame Removal/Installation

CAUTION:
  • When performing the procedure with a rear seat back removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (with rear seat warmer system) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the rear seat back. (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the rear seat center armrest. (See REAR SEAT CENTER ARMREST REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the head restraint.
  5. Unzip the zippers.

  6. Slide the hooks in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure to detach them from the rear seat back frame.

  7. Partially peel back the rear seat back trim and remove the fasteners.

  8. Partially open the rear seat back pad, and while detaching the tabs in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull out the pole guides in the direction of arrow (2).

  9. Pull the rear seat back frame in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it from the rear set back pad.

  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
