Connectivity Master Unit (CMU) Removal/Installation: Notes

NOTE:
  • The connectivity master unit (CMU) prior to replacement stores the vehicle specification information.
  • A new CMU does not store any vehicle specification information.
  • When the ignition is switched ON after the CMU is replaced, the CMU reads the vehicle specification information sent via CAN transmission from the instrument cluster using the automatic configuration function, and stores it.
  • The Bluetooth® pairing information recorded in the CMU cannot be written to a new CMU. Therefore, the Bluetooth® pairing information will be eliminated if the CMU is replaced. Before replacing the CMU, explain to the customer that the Bluetooth® pairing resetting is required.
