Microphone Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the front map light. (Refer to FRONT MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. While pressing tabs of the voice recognition microphone in the direction of the arrows (1) shown in the figure using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, pull the voice recognition microphone in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach tabs of the voice recognition microphone from the front map light.

  4. While pulling tab of the voice recognition microphone in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the voice recognition microphone in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach tab of the voice recognition microphone from the front map light.

  5. Remove the microphone.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
