Front Buckle Removal/Installation
WARNING:
- Handling the front seat (with side air bag module) improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read the air bag system service warnings and cautions before handling the front seat (with side air bag module).

- Switch the ignition to off.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more . (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the front seat. (Refer to FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the front buckle connector.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the front buckle.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
- Verify that the air bag/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light illuminates for approx. 6 s
and turns off.
- If the air bag/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light does not operate normally, refer to the on-board diagnostic system (air bag system) and perform inspection of the system.
