Door Side: Notes

  1. Remove the second-row seat. (See SECOND-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Raise the seat cushion.

  3. Lay the seat on its side with the recliner lever facing upward.

  4. While pushing the recliner lever in the direction of the arrow, remove the screw.

    CAUTION:
    • The seat back folds forward when the recliner lever is operated. Be careful when operating the recliner lever.
  5. Remove the side cover clips from the seat cushion frame using the fastener remover.

  6. Put the seat in the Step 2 condition.
  7. Remove the recliner lever clip using the following procedure.
    CAUTION:
    • Perform the following procedures while keeping the side cover lifted.
    • The side cover may be damaged when it is lifted up.
    1. Insert a hand into the position indicated in the figure and lift the side cover in the direction of the arrow.

    2. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver.

    3. Remove the clip which is attached to the recliner lever by pressing it in the direction of the arrow.

  8. Remove the recliner lever.
  9. Detach the tab, the clip, the pin and the hook, remove the second-row seat side cover.

  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
