Oil Cooler Removal/Installation: Notes
WARNING:
- Do not perform the servicing while the ATF is hot. Otherwise, it could cause severe burns or serious injury.
- Always wear protective eye wear when using the air compressor. If the air compressor is used, any particles of dirt or soiling could spatter and get into the eyes.
NOTE:
- After removing the oil cooler, check for dirt or foreign objects mixed into the ATF and flush the oil cooler if necessary.
- Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the air cleaner component. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
- Remove the aerodynamic under cover. (See AERODYNAMIC UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Drain the ATF. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT .)
- Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [MZR 2.5] .)
- Remove in the order shown in the figure.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Add engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [MZR 2.5] .)
- Add ATF. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT .)
- Perform the mechanical system test. (See MECHANICAL SYSTEM TEST .)PART DESCRIPTION
