M Position Test
- Prepare for the road test. (See ROAD TEST PREPARATION .)
- Warm up the transaxle.
- Shift the M position.
- Inspect the shift point for the M position.
- If there is any malfunction, refer to symptom troubleshooting and verify the malfunction symptom.
- Perform the shift operation while driving and verify that the gears can be shifted.
- Verify that the gears shift from 5GR to 4GR, 4GR to 3GR, 3GR to 2GR, and 2GR to 1GR after releasing the accelerator pedal while driving in 5GR. In addition, verify that the vehicle speed corresponds to the shift point when shifting.
- Verify that the engine braking operates in all gears after releasing the accelerator pedal while driving.
- Verify that the vehicle speed corresponds to the shift point during TCC.
- Verify that the shift shock is small, shifting is smooth and timely, and there is no abnormal noise or transaxle slip.
