Airflow Mode Main Link Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Removal the following parts.
    1. Front scuff plate (driver-side) (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Front side trim (driver-side) (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Center console box (See CENTER CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Console panel (See CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Center console (See CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Shift lever knob (MTX) (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. Selector lever knob (ATX) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    9. Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    10. Front console (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    11. Hood release lever (See HOOD LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    12. Lower panel (driver-side) (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    13. Knee bolster (See KNEE BOLSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    14. Column cover (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    15. Front heat duct (driver-side) (See FRONT HEAT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the hook (1) then detach the airflow mode rod (2).

  4. Remove the screw.

  5. Remove the airflow mode main link.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
