Solar Radiation Sensor Removal/Installation (Auto A/C): Notes

NOTE:
  • When removing the solar radiation sensor, perform the procedure in the posture shown in the figure.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Passenger-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Passenger-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Tuner and amp unit (TAU) (With Tuner and amp unit (TAU)) (See TUNER AND AMP UNIT (TAU) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Blower unit (See BLOWER UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Press out (1) the tab of the solar radiation sensor from the inside of the dashboard using a flathead screwdriver as shown in the figure.

  4. Press (2) the tab using a fastener remover as shown in the figure and press out the solar radiation sensor from the inside of the dashboard.
  5. Disconnect the solar radiation sensor connector.

  6. Remove the solar radiation sensor.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See SOLAR RADIATION SENSOR INSTALLATION NOTE .)
