Hatchback (5HB)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Partially peel back the following parts:
    1. Tire house trim (LH) (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Trunk side upper trim (LH) (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Trunk side trim (LH) (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect the connector.

  4. Remove the bolt.
  5. Remove the brake light unit in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.

  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
