Microphone Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the front map light. (See FRONT MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. While pressing the tabs A of the voice recognition microphone in the direction of the arrows (1) shown in the figure using a tape-wrapped flat head screwdriver, pull the voice recognition microphone in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach the tabs A of the voice recognition microphone from the front map light.

  4. While pulling the tabs B of the voice recognition microphone in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the voice recognition microphone in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach the tabs B of the voice recognition microphone from the front map light.

  5. Remove the microphone.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
