Exhaust Manifold Installation Note

Push the position shown in the figure below and move the engine toward the left side of the vehicle.

NOTE:
- The exhaust manifold can be installed by securing a space for installation. Therefore, the procedure is divided into one person moving the engine and one person installing the exhaust manifold.
Install the exhaust manifold.

Turn a shaft of SST (49 E017 5A0) and lower engine until engine mount rubber performs a sitting lightly in front crossmember.
Temporarily tighten the bolt as shown in the figure below.

Turn a shaft of SST (49 E017 5A0) and lower engine more.
Tighten the bolt as shown in the figure below.

Tightening torque

33-45 N.m {3.4-4.5 kgf.m, 25-33 ft.lbf}
Remove the SST (49 E017 5A0) and SST (49 UN30 3050).
Temporarily tighten the nut as shown in the figure below.

Tighten the nut as shown in the figure below.

Tightening torque

33-53 N.m {3.4-5.4 kgf.m, 25-39 ft.lbf}
Temporarily tighten the nut as shown in the figure below.

Tighten the nut as shown in the figure below.

Tightening torque

43-64 N.m {4.4-6.5 kgf.m, 32-47 ft.lbf}
Tighten the nut as shown in the figure below.

Tightening torque

43-64 N.m {4.4-6.5 kgf.m, 32-47 ft.lbf}
Tighten the bolts shown in the figure below.

Connect the hose clip shown in the figure below.

Tighten the nut shown in the figure below.

Install the front crossmember under cover. (See FRONT CROSSMEMBER UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Install the front splash shield No. 1. (See FRONT SPLASH SHIELD NO. 1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Install the front mudguard No. 2. (See FRONT MUDGUARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Install the front wheels and tires. (See GENERAL PROCEDURES (SUSPENSION) ).
Install the front suspension tower bar. (With front suspension tower bar) (See FRONT SUSPENSION TOWER BAR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Install the ground cable shown in the figure below.
