Upper Panel Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Selector lever knob (ATX) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Shift lever knob (MTX) (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R] .)
    4. Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Front console box (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Rear console component (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Console side panel No. 1 (See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the screws.

  4. Remove the upper panel component in the direction of the arrows shown in the figure below.

  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
