Keyless Receiver Inspection: Notes
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Bass-box (with Bose®) (See BASS-BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk box (See TRUNK BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Partially peel back the trunk side trim (RH) to the position allowing removal of the keyless receiver. (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the connector from the keyless receiver.
- Remove the keyless receiver. (See KEYLESS RECEIVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Reconnect the connector.
- Verify that the voltages of each of the terminals are as indicated in the terminal voltage table (reference).
- If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table (reference), inspect the parts under Inspection item (s) and related wiring harnesses.
- If the system does not operate normally even though the parts under Inspection Item (s) and related wiring harnesses do not have any malfunction, replace the keyless receiver. (See KEYLESS RECEIVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table (reference), inspect the parts under Inspection item (s) and related wiring harnesses.
