NOx sensor No. 1: Notes
WARNING:
- A hot engine and exhaust system can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before removing the exhaust system.
CAUTION:
- Do not disconnect the connector between the NOx sensor control module and NOx sensor. Otherwise, it could adversely affect the NOx sensor control module.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the floor under cover (LH). (AWD) (See FLOOR UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the floor under cover. (2WD) (See FLOOR UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the insulator and brace bar. (2WD) (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the clip.
- Remove the bolts.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Suspend module bracket using a rope as shown in the figure.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the clips.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the NOx sensor control module. (see NOX SENSOR CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL NOTE .)
- Remove the clip.
- Remove the clip.
- Cut the bands. (See BAND INSTALLATION NOTE .)
- Cut the wiring harness clip band.
- Remove the NOx sensor No. 1.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Perform compulsory diesel particulate filter regeneration. (See COMPULSORY DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER REGENERATION .)
