PID/DATA Monitor Inspection
- Park the vehicle on level ground.
- Verify the ambient temperature.
Ambient temperature is below freezing
- After warming up the engine for approx.1 hour, go to the next step.
Ambient temperature is above freezing
- Go to the next step.
- After warming up the engine for approx.1 hour, go to the next step.
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
- Using the M-MDS, verify that the value of the ratio of remaining DEF (PID: RRDC_AG_RMN) is 90% or less. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [DOSING CONTROL UNIT (SKYACTIV-D 2.2)]

- Switch the ignition off.
- Drain the DEF until it reaches 90% or less. (See DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID (DEF) REPLACEMENT .)
- Go to the next step.
90% or less
- Switch the ignition OFF, and then go to the next step.
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Using the M-MDS, display the ratio of remaining DEF (PID: RRDC_AG_RMN). (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [DOSING CONTROL UNIT (SKYACTIV-D 2.2)] .)
- Verify that the value of PID RRDC_AG_RMN is 90% or more.
- If not within the standard, replace the urea tank. (See UREA TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
