Condenser Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Rear scuff plate (Refer to REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Rear seat cushion (Refer to REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Rear seat back (Refer to REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Rear package tray (Refer to REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Trunk board (with trunk board) (Refer to TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Trunk covering (Refer to TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Bass-box (with Bose ®) (Refer to BASS-BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. Trunk box (Refer to TRUNK BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    9. Trunk end trim (Refer to TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    10. Trunk side trim (Refer to TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    11. C-pillar trim (Refer to C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    12. Rear assist handle (Refer to ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the fasteners.

  4. Peel back the seaming welt of the rear door and the liftgate.
  5. Partially peel back the headliner.
    CAUTION:
    • If the headliner is peeled back excessively, the headliner could become creased. Be careful not to peel back the headliner excessively.
  6. Disconnect the connector.

  7. Remove the bolt.
  8. Remove the condenser.
  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
