Rear Spoiler Installation

  1. When a rear spoiler is to be reused, perform the following procedure:
    1. If the packing is damaged, remove bolts A and B together with the packing.

    2. Remove any grease and dirt from the packing affixing area.
    3. Install new bolts A and B together with the packing.
      NOTE:
      • Packing has already been attached to the new bolt.
    4. If the protector is damaged, replace the part that is damaged with a new protector.

    5. If the packing is damaged, clean and degrease the packing adhesive area and replace the damaged packing with a new one.

  2. Install the grommet of the high-mount brake light wiring harness.

  3. Align the pins to the rear spoiler installation hole.

  4. Push the rear spoiler in the direction of the arrows in the order of (1), (2), (3), (4), (5) and install the rear spoiler.

  5. Install the nuts shown in the figure, and install the rear spoiler.

  6. Install the caps shown in the figure.

  7. Connect the connector and install the wiring harness to the hook.

  8. Install the liftgate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  9. Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
