Front Shock Absorber Disposal
WARNING:
- Whenever drilling into a front shock absorber, always wear protective eye wear as the gas in the shock absorber is pressurized and could spray metal filings into the eyes.
- Set the front shock absorber horizontally or with the piston pointed downward.
- Drill a 2-3 mm {0.08-0.11 in} hole at point A shown in the figure and exhaust the gas.
Point A: 170 mm {6.69 in}
- Point the hole drilled in Step 2 downward, pump the piston rod up and down several times, and drain the oil.
- Cut off the bottom of the front shock absorber.
- Dispose of the drained oil according to local waste disposal laws.
