TCM Configuration
NOTE:
- The TCM is built into the control valve body.
- Verify TCM configuration implementation necessity for replacement parts.
Replacement part Configuration necessity Control valve body replacement Necessary Oil pressure switch replacement Unnecessary Automatic transaxle replacement Necessary On/OFF solenoid replacement Unnecessary Coupler component replacement Unnecessary - To replace the control valve body or automatic transaxle, perform the following procedure.
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
- Activate the M-MDS and perform the following procedure.
- Press [Start] to start the vehicle identification.
- Press the [Toolbox] tab.
- Press the [Work Support] icon.
- Press [Configuration].
- Press [Run] to perform the configuration.
- Press [TCM].
- When [Install the new ECU] is displayed, move to the control valve body or automatic transaxle replacement procedure.
- If the control valve body or automatic transaxle is replaced, perform the following procedure.
- Return to the M-MDS operation and press [Continue].
- When the M-MDS processing is completed, press [Next].
- When the M-MDS processing is completed, press [Next].
- Verify that the following conditions/operations are met/completed, mark the check boxes, and then press [Next].
- Ignition is switched ON (engine off)
- Install battery charger to vehicle
- Battery voltage:11.6 V or more
- Connect power cable to M-MDS
- Front doors on both sides and trunk lid (4SD) or liftgate (5HB) are open
- Press [Finish].
- Switch the ignition OFF.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off) to complete global central configuration (GCC) for the control valve body or automatic transaxle.
- Clear the DTC. (See CLEARING DTC .)
