Function Explanation (DTC Detection Outline)

• If the engine oil temperature detected by the engine oil temperature sensor is not rising 0.9°C {2°F} or more during a 10 min period after the engine is started, the PCM determines an engine oil temperature sensor malfunction and stores a DTC.
