Lower Panel Removal/Installation: Driver-side
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Driver-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Driver-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Hood release lever (See HOOD LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Fuel-filler lid opener lever (See FUEL-FILLER LID OPENER AND LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Driver-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Partially peel back the seaming welt.
- Remove the bolt.
- Move the driver-side lower panel in the order of arrows (1), (2) and (3) shown in the figure, and detach hook, clips, tab, and guide.
- Disconnect the connectors and remove wiring harness clips A and B.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.NOTE:
- When replacing the driver-side lower panel, remove the following parts:
- Pocket light (with pocket light) (See POCKET LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Cluster switch (See CLUSTER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk lid opener switch (with trunk lid opener switch) (See TRUNK LID OPENER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- When replacing the driver-side lower panel, remove the following parts:
