Active Driving Display Short-Cord Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the battery. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (VIN Y)] .) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (VIN M)] .) .)
  3. Disconnect the brake pipes from the master cylinder. (See MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Disconnect the clutch reserve hose from the master cylinder.(MTX) (See MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the following parts:
    1. Side wall (driver side) (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Front heat duct (LH) (See FRONT HEAT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Brake pedal (See BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Meter hood No. 2 (See METER HOOD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Active driving display (See ACTIVE DRIVING DISPLAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Active driving display short-cord (See ACTIVE DRIVING DISPLAY SHORT-CORD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Verify that the continuity between the active driving display short-cord terminals is as indicated in the table.

    • If not as indicated in the table, replace the active driving display short-cord.
