Lift Motor Inspection

If not as specified, replace the front seat cushion frame/adjuster unit. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)

WARNING:

Handling a side air bag improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings/cautions in the appropriate service information before handling the front seat (side air bag integrated). Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Remove the front sear. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Disconnect the lift motor connector.
Apply battery positive voltage to the lift motor terminals and inspect the front seat operation.
