Microphone Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the front map light. (See MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. While pressing tabs A of the microphone in the direction of the arrows (1) shown in the figure below using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, pull the microphone in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure below to detach tabs A of the microphone from the front map light.

  4. While pulling tab B of the microphone in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure below, pull the microphone in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure below to detach tab B of the microphone from the front map light.

  5. Remove the microphone.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
