DTC P0218:00 (TCM) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	RECORD VEHICLE STATUS WHEN DTC WAS DETECTED TO UTILIZE WITH REPEATABILITY VERIFICATION NOTE: Recording can be facilitated using the screen capture of the PC function. Record the freeze frame data/snap shot data.	-	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY Verify related Service Bulletins and/or on-line repair information availability. Is any related repair information available?	Yes	Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information. If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	INSPECT ATF LEVEL Inspect the ATF level. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) INSPECTION [EW6A-EL/EW6AX-EL] .) Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Adjust the ATF level to the specification, then go to Step 5. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) ADJUSTMENT [EW6A-EL/EW6AX-EL] .)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	INSPECT OIL COOLER Visually inspect the oil cooler. Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Replace the oil cooler, then go to the next step. (See OIL COOLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [EW6A-EL/EW6AX-EL] .)
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED Clear the DTC using the M-MDS. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC INSPECTION (TCM) .) Perform the following procedure to ensure that the DTC has been resolved: Start the engine and wait for 10 s or more. Perform the DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC INSPECTION (TCM) .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC TABLE (TCM) .)
5		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
