Liftgate Side Trim Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the liftgate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Move the hooks in the direction of the arrows shown in the illustration to disengage them from the strap hangers.

  3. Pull the point A of the strap hanger as shown in the illustration.

  4. Remove the fastener.

  5. Hold the shaded areas shown in the illustration and detach the clips while moving the liftgate side trim in the direction of the arrow.

  6. Hold the shaded areas shown in the illustration and partially peel back the edge of the liftgate side trim in the direction of arrows (1) to detach the tabs, move the liftgate side trim in the direction of arrow (2) with the tabs detached and remove the liftgate side trim while detaching the hook.

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
