Microphone Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
  2. Remove the front map light. (See FRONT MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
  3. While pressing the tabs of the microphone in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the illustration using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, pull the microphone in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the illustration to detach the tabs of the microphone from the front map light.

  4. While pulling the tabs of the microphone in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the illustration, pull the microphone in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the illustration to detach the tab of the microphone from the front map light.

  5. Remove the microphone.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
