Solar Radiation Sensor Inspection (Auto A/C)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the center speaker grille. (See SPEAKER GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the solar radiation sensor. (See SOLAR RADIATION SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (AUTO A/C) .)
  4. Shine a fluorescent light or expose the solar radiation sensor to natural sunlight.
  5. Connect the positive (+) lead to terminals A and negative (-) lead to terminal B, C of the solar radiation sensor, and verify that the voltage value is output.
