Blower Unit Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Passenger-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDERCOVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Passenger-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Passenger-side side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. Passenger-side front heat duct (See FRONT HEAT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect the blower motor connector.

  4. Disconnect the air intake actuator connector.
  5. Remove the blower unit installation nuts.

  6. Pass the blower unit projection between the brackets shown in the figure (1) and rotate the blower unit (2).

  7. Pull out the blower unit in the direction of the arrow (3).
  8. Remove the blower unit.

  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
