Microphone Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the front map light. (See FRONT MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. While pressing tabs of the microphone in the direction of the arrows (1) shown in the figure using a tape-wrapped flat head screwdriver, pull the microphone in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach tabs of the microphone from the front map light.

  4. While pulling tab of the microphone in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the microphone in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach tab of the microphone from the front map light.

  5. Remove the microphone.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
