Active Air Shutter Removal/Installation

CAUTION:
  • If the active air shutter is disassembled and re-assembled, it may not operate normally. Do not disassemble the active air shutter because it is not designed to be disassembled.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION )
  2. Remove the set plate. (See SET PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the front bumper. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL .) (See FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION .)
  4. Disconnect the connector.

  5. Remove the bolts.
  6. Insert the remover tool into the service hole shown in the figure.

  7. While moving the remover tool in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the active air shutter in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the tabs of the active air shutter from the shroud panel.
  8. Remove the active air shutter.
  9. Remove the active air shutter cover. (See ACTIVE AIR SHUTTER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
