Rear Wiper Motor Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Rear wiper arm and blade (See REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Liftgate upper trim (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Liftgate side trim (See LIFTGATE SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Liftgate recess (See LIFTGATE RECESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Liftgate lower trim (See LIFTGATE LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect the connector.

  4. Remove the bolts in the order of (1), (2), and (3). (See REAR WIPER MOTOR INSTALLATION NOTE .)
  5. Pull out the rear wiper motor pin from the outer bushing and remove the rear wiper motor.

  6. Press in the outer bushing from the outside of the liftgate.

  7. Pull the outer bushing from the inside of the liftgate and remove it.
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
