Rear Wiper Motor Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Rear wiper arm and blade (See REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Liftgate upper trim (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Liftgate side trim (See LIFTGATE SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Liftgate recess cover (See LIFTGATE RECESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Power liftgate (PLG) rear switch (with power liftgate (PLG) system) (See POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) REAR SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Liftgate lower trim (See LIFTGATE LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect the connector.

  4. Remove the bolts. (See REAR WIPER MOTOR INSTALLATION NOTE .)

  5. Pull out the rear wiper motor pin from the outer bushing and remove the rear wiper motor.
  6. Remove the outer bushing.

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
