Condenser Inspection
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Discharge the refrigerant. (See REFRIGERANT RECOVERY .) (See REFRIGERANT CHARGING .)
- Remove the front under cover No. 2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No. 2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the front under cover No. 1. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No. 1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Plug hole plate (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .)
- Air cleaner, air hose and fresh air duct component (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .)
- Coolant reserve tank (See COOLANT RESERVE TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .)
- Cooling fan component (See COOLING FAN MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .)
- Charge air cooler inlet hose (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .)
- Charge air cooler outlet hose (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .)
- Radiator (See RADIATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .)
- Inspect the condenser for damage, cracks, and oil leakage.
- If there is any malfunction, replace the condenser. (See CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Inspect the fins for restriction or foreign matter.
- If any fins are restricted, remove the foreign matter. If there is any malfunction, replace the condenser. (See CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Inspect the fins for bending.
- If there is any bending, use the end of a flat head screwdriver to straighten the fins. If there is any malfunction, replace the condenser. (See CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
