Tweeter Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the A-pillar trim. (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    CAUTION:
    • Because the tweeter is built into the condenser, if the tester does not contact the measurement area shown in the figure, the correct resistance cannot be measured.
  3. Inspect the resistance between tweeter terminal A and the measurement area shown in the figure.

    Tweeter resistance 

    • 3.4-4.6 ohms

      Tweeter resistance 

    • 3.06-4.74 ohms
    • If not within the specification, replace the tweeter. (See TWEETER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
