Function inspection
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
- Display the PCM PIDs [ECT2] and [ECT2_VOLT]. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION .)
- Compare the voltage indications for PID [ECT2_VOLT] and the temperature indications for PID [ECT2] with the standards in the table indicated below.
- If they do not match the standard, replace the PCM. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- If they match the standard, perform the resistance inspection. (See Resistance inspection .)
