Active Driving Display Inspection

Not Using the M-MDS 

  1. After switching the ignition ON (engine off), switch the light switch within 5 s as follows.
    • OFF → TNS (parking lights) → OFF → TNS (parking lights) → OFF → TNS (parking lights) → OFF
  2. Switch the light switch (dimmer switch) within 5 s after Step  1 as follows.
    • OFF → Headlight HI ON → OFF → Headlight HI ON → OFF → Headlight HI ON → OFF
  3. Verify that the display screen of the active driving display changes each time the light switch is switched between OFF and TNS (parking lights).

Using the M-MDS 

  1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
  2. After vehicle identification, select the following from the M-MDS initialization screen.
    1. "Data logger"
    2. "Module"
    3. "HUD"
  3. Using the simulation function MAINT_MODE, verify that the display screen of the active driving display changes.
