Audio Control Unit (ACU) Removal/Installation

NOTE:
  • The ACU has stored vehicle specification information.
  • A new ACU does not have any stored vehicle specification information.
  • When the ignition is switched ON (engine off or on) after replacing the ACU, the unit reads and stores the vehicle specification information sent via CAN communication from the body control module (BCM).
  • The Bluetooth® pairing information stored in the ACU cannot be written to a new ACU. Therefore, the Bluetooth® pairing information will be eliminated if the ACU is replaced. Before replacing the ACU, explain to the customer that the Bluetooth® pairing resetting is required.
