Operation After Replacing Rear Power Window Regulator

CAUTION:
  • If the following symptoms occur after the rear power window regulator is replaced, perform the [OPERATION AFTER REPLACING REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR].
    • During a rear door glass close operation, the rear door glass reverses at the fully-closed position and the rear door glass cannot be fully closed.
    • Even if a rear door glass close operation is performed, the rear door glass does not rise to the fully-closed position.
    • The auto reverse pinch protection function does not operate near the fully-closed position.
  1. Fully lower the rear door glass.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)] .)
  3. Remove the following parts:
    1. Power window subswitch (rear) (See POWER WINDOW SUBSWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Rear door trim (See REAR DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Disconnect the connector.

  5. Connect the connector of the power window subswitch.
  6. Connect the negative battery terminal.
  7. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
  8. Operate the power window subswitch (rear) and perform the close operation of the rear door glass for approx. 2 s.
  9. Clear the DTC. (See CLEARING DTC .)
  10. Perform the power window system initialization procedure. (See POWER WINDOW SYSTEM INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE .)
  11. Verify that the rear door glass open/close function is operating correctly.
