Shift Panel Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)] .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Selector lever knob (ATX) (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Console side panel (See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Insert a remover tool into the position shown in the figure.

  4. Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the clip.

  5. Move the shift panel in the order of arrows (1), (2), and (3) shown in the figure, and detach the clips.

  6. Disconnect the connector. (ATX)

  7. Disconnect the connectors.

  8. Remove the shift panel.
  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
  • When replacing the shift panel, remove the following parts:
