Recliner Motor Inspection
WARNING:
- Handling a side air bag improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you.
Read the service warnings/cautions in the Service Information before handling the front seat (side air bag integrated).

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Slide hooks A in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3) shown in the figure and disconnect them from hooks B.
- Open fasteners.
- Disconnect the recliner motor connector.
- Apply battery positive voltage to the recliner motor terminals and inspect the front seat operation.
- If not as specified, replace the front seat back component. (See FRONT SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
