Hood Latch Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the front bumper. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the crash zone sensor (center). (See CRASH ZONE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - US/CANADA SPEC.] .)
  4. Detach the hooks from the hood latch and remove the hood latch protector.

  5. Disconnect the connector.

  6. Disconnect the hood release cable from the hood latch.
  7. Remove the bolts.
  8. Remove the hood latch.
  9. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See HOOD LATCH INSTALLATION NOTE .)
  10. Perform the 360° view monitor system aiming. (With 360° view monitor system) (See 360°VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM AIMING .)
  11. Perform the front radar sensor aiming. (See FRONT RADAR SENSOR AIMING .)
