Rear Ultrasonic Sensor Removal/Installation
NOTE:
- The rear ultrasonic sensor can be removed without having to take the trunk side trim outside of the vehicle.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Bass-box (with bass-box) (See BASS-BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Temporary spare tire and wheel
- Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- D-pillar trim (See D-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Perform the procedure for partially peeling back the trunk side trim. (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the following parts.
- Rear combination light (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear over fender (See REAR OVER FENDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear splash shield (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear bumper (See REAR BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Pull the rear ultrasonic sensor in the direction of arrow (2) while moving the tabs of the retainer in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure below, and remove it.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Perform rear side radar sensor aiming. (See REAR SIDE RADAR SENSOR AIMING .)
