Inspect Refrigerant System Performance

NOTE:
- Perform the procedure after the refrigerant pressure inspection. (See REFRIGERANT PRESSURE CHECK )
- Perform the procedure while the vehicle is not exposed to direct sunlight.
- Install a dry-bulb thermometer at the center of the driver-side air vent.COMPONENT OPERATIONS
Component No. Refer to 1 Dry-bulb thermometer - Switch the main power ON (READY on).
- Prepare the vehicle as follows.
- Engine speed is 1, 500 rpm
- A/C switch: ON
- Air intake mode: REC
- Airflow mode: Vent
- Airflow temperature setting: MAX COLD
- Airflow volume setting: Maximum
- Hood: Open
- All doors and liftgate: Closed
- All door glass: Fully closed
- Active air shutter (with active air shutter): Open
- Wait for 8 min after the engine is started.
- Record the airflow temperature and ambient air temperature for 2 min.
- Verify that the airflow temperature is within the range of the shaded area shown in the figure.
