Full Load Contact Test
- Disconnect plug of throttle valve switch. Measure resistance between terminal Nos. 3 and 2 (full load contact) at idle position. Measurement should be infinity. At full load, full load contact should measure about zero ohms . At partial load, the full load contact should read infinity. If infinity is not indicated, adjust or replace throttle valve switch. If okay, go to next step.
- Check continuity of wires from throttle valve switch to CIS-E control unit and to engine ground. Resistance should be about zero ohms. If resistance is not about zero ohms, repair open. If okay, check airflow sensor position indicator.
