SERVICE INFORMATION
The following shows the test data and procedures for automatic transmissions.
MBNA/MC 2399 Automatic Transmission, Type 722.3 M.Y. 1990
MENP/MC 2400 Automatic Transmission, Types 722.4/.5 M.Y. 1990
PRELIMINARY CHECKS
- Transmission fluid level (at 80°C): Full __ OverFilled __ Low __
- Oil appearance: Clean __ Cloudy __ Burned __
- Adjustment of control pressure cable: Adjustment correct ______ Adjusted ____
- DIESEL MODELS ONLY
Check vacuum values of vacuum control valve (385 +/- 20mbar) and vacuum amplifier (40 +/- 20mbar under simulated 740mbar boost pressure). Actual values correct: Yes ___ No ___
PERFORMANCE TEST:
Check shift points in selector lever position "D". Drive car through shift points with engine at operating temperature, observing any malfunctions of transmission performance. Mark actual shift points in Results chart on back of test sheet.
NOTE:
All speeds given on chart are approximate values.
MODULATOR PRESSURE TEST in position "D" at 31 mph (VACUUM LINE PULLED OFF).

WORKING PRESSURE TEST in position "D" at 1000 rpm (VACUUM LINE PULLED OFF).

GOVERNOR PRESSURE TEST in position "D" at 18 and 56 mph.
